Chicken Taco Tuesday
Iguana has a real place in established culinary traditions, while Florida has a very real invasive-iguana problem. “Chicken Taco Tuesday” puts those two facts next to a tortilla and lets South Florida take it from there.

Behind the story
Why This Song Exists
“Chicken Taco Tuesday” is not a joke about people who eat iguana. Iguana has a real place in established culinary traditions, and treating that food history like something strange would be lazy comedy. The food is not the punchline. Florida is. South Florida has a major invasive-green-iguana problem. People also really do prepare and eat iguana. Put those two realities next to each other long enough and a very Florida question eventually appears: So... tacos? That is where this song lives. Not in mocking a cuisine. Not in pretending eating iguana is some bizarre new invention. The comedy is the speed with which an invasive-wildlife problem can become somebody’s menu idea. The music leans all the way into a bright Tex-Mex / Latin party because this is the point on the album where the humans stop asking only: “How do we get rid of these things?” and begin asking: “What are we serving with them?” Respect the tradition. Laugh at the circumstances. And apparently save room for Tuesday.
Why This Sound
This song turns Florida's invasive-species problem into a full Taco Tuesday celebration. Accordion-led Tex-Mex/conjunto gives it a distinct cantina identity and keeps it musically separate from the salsa/mambo track that follows.
