"The Love You Give Away" was written as a heartfelt thank-you to Tatiana, whose kindness, compassion, and steady support brought peace during one of the most uncertain seasons of our lives. While living in temporary housing after losing our apartment and navigating insurance, she became far more than a property manager. She became a source of stability, encouragement, and genuine care. When we learned she was in the hospital, we wanted to remind her that the love she gives away every day has found its way back to her. This song is our way of wrapping her in gratitude while she heals.

Why this song exists
Tim and I were unexpectedly displaced from our apartment after a major life event and found ourselves living week to week while searching for a new place to call home. During that difficult season, Tatiana consistently went above and beyond to help us. She worked tirelessly to make sure we could stay where we were, understood the challenges we were facing, and always greeted us with warmth, kindness, and encouragement. She gave us something we desperately needed—a little slice of security in such uncertain times. When we learned she was hospitalized for surgery, we wanted to give something back that would last longer than flowers or a card. This song was created to remind her how deeply appreciated she is and to let her know that the kindness she shares every day truly changes lives. Written with love by Hiedi.
